Nancy Pelosi on Planned Parenthood

Z10

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)

Nancy Pelosi calls herself a Catholic, yet supports abortion as a good thing.  She even recently said the pro-life undercover agents should be investigated, not Planned Parenthood.

Nancy Pelosi was given a 100% scoring on her voting record by NARAL (National Abortion Rights Action League) while receiving a 0% scoring on her voting record by NRLC (National Right to Life Committee) [1].  She reportedly stated, “When the Republicans vote for this bill today, they will be voting to say that women can die on the floor and health-care providers do not have to intervene” [2].  This was in response to the Protect Life Act which would block federal funding to abortions.  She even reportedly called late-term abortions “sacred ground” [3].  Yet she said critics have an agenda.  She has not made any statements against abortion or clarified whether the state should in any way to promote life-saving alternatives to abortion.  She furthermore accuses those who get in the way of abortion as getting in the way of a woman’s reproductive health and are putting politics in the way of faith.  It’s actually quite the other way around; it is putting politics in the way of faith if you promote abortion just because many push for it.
