9/11 Theories

If you think this is some 9/11 Truther article, then you’ve come to the wrong place.  This article exists to discuss some things that have come to my mind within the past few months regarding the hijackers’ intent on choosing September 11 of all days of the year.  So why September 11?  Why not Christmas Day, Easter Sunday, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Halloween or some random day of the year?  What makes September 11 so special?

“Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: . . .” (Quran 9:111)

Has anybody thought that the 9/11 hijackers picked September 11 because of this passage besides the fact many Christian victories against Muslims occurred on a September 11? At least one of the hijackers packed wedding garments, believing he would be married to 72 virgins upon entering Paradise. The Quran does promise that those men who enter the gardens of Paradise will be greeted by “voluptuous women of equal age” (78:33).

Some of the events that occurred on a September 11 were the Great Siege of Malta (1565), the expulsion of the Moriscos from Valencia (1609), the Battle of Zenta (1697), and the Battle of Vienna (1683).  These were major victories for the Christians against Muslim invaders.  Perhaps the hijackers picked September 11 as symbolic of their perceived victory over Christians to undo all the Christian victories against Muslims on this day.

Keep in mind this is just all theory and it should not be treated as evidential fact.  However it is interesting these all have to do with Christians and Muslims.  It’s possible this day of the year was chosen for this reason but again it may not.  Either way we know this is just another sign of Islamic aggression against Christians and Jews mostly.  The Angelic Doctor wrote a short treatise on the Mohammedan sect.

“The point is clear in the case of Muhammad. He seduced the people by promises of carnal pleasure to which the concupiscence of the flesh goads us. His teaching also contained precepts that were in conformity with his promises, and he gave free rein to carnal pleasure. In all this, as is not unexpected, he was obeyed by carnal men. . .  On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in the power of his arms—which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants. What is more, no wise men, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him from the beginning, Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Muhammad forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms. . . On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimonies of the Old and New Testaments by making them into fabrications of his own, as can be. seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity.”

~(Summa Contra Gentiles 1:6:4)
